What exactly is Deep Practice?

It is the path fol­lowed by those who develop exper­tise and mas­tery in their field.  Solid research of expert per­for­mance tells us that mas­tery in any field or endeavor is not based on tal­ent, genet­ics, fam­ily back­ground, intel­li­gence or for­mal edu­ca­tion.  Instead, we know that becom­ing a true expert comes from hard work.  In other words, exper­tise comes from practice.
